As a result of SafeWork SA reviewing all its grant, subsidy and sponsorship funding, the HSR training subsidy scheme will be changing as of 1 July 2019.
All subsidy categories with be discontinued with the exception of the remote area subsidy for participants only.
This decision does not impact on any subsidy applications received up until 30 June 2019.
Until June 30 2019, eligible companies are entitled to up to $100 per day for each HSR attending training - so take advantage of these subsidies and save before they go - book HSR training before June 30 and save up to $500.

Until 30 June 2019, PCBUs organising training for HSRs in a high risk industry or from a small business with fewer than 100 workers may be eligible for an HSR training subsidy from SafeWork SA.
In conjunction with SafeWork SA, Business SA offers a small business subsidy and a high risk subsidy to selected training courses. Subsidies can be up to $100 per person per day off the total cost of training on the following courses:
- Health and Safety Representative Year 1
- Health and Safety Representative Year 2
- Health and Safety Representative Year 3
- Re-elected HSR RefresherSmall Business subsidy ($50 per person/per day)*

All HSR metro training subsidies will cease June 30 and minimal HSR training subsidies will apply to HSRs in remote locations only.
